Complexity and constant change are normal in today's businesses and social enterprises. Work that was once performed by individuals is now being tasked to teams - and effective collaboration inside and beyond the organisation is central to business productivity. Diversity is key to success and yet people don't always handle differences skilfully enough for the benefits to be experienced.

So how can organisations create a work environment that supports high performing teams and the inevitable complex human interactions, embraces conflict, retains valuable knowledge workers and changes at the speed of light while remaining profitable and productive?

Relationship Systems Intelligence

Beyond Emotional Intelligence (relationship with oneself), and Social Intelligence (relationship with other) lies Relationship Systems Intelligence where the focus is on the entire group, team or system.

This approach has been effectively applied by business and personal ORSC systems coaches across the globe for the last 15 years, and is now being brought into the realm of work teams and organizations with positive results, as evidenced by these workplace experiences from Cape to Cairo.

In this two-day, fully ICF-accredited course, you will leverage Relationship Systems Intelligence to tackle some of the common ailments that plague work environments:

  • Ineffective or toxic communication
  • Low team morale or burnout
  • Conflict avoidance and non-resolution
  • Lack of creativity and productivity
  • Confusion about roles on a team

Outcomes from the Course

Practical skills you can use in leadership and coaching to build collaboration in diverse organisations and teams, including:

  • Collaboratively design and build team/partnership culture and all take accountability
  • From conflict to alignment around common interests
  • Build positivity in teams under fire
  • Hear all voices in a team – get where the team is at and what is needed
  • Team members more engaged, inspired and adept at navigating politically-charged situations.
  • Greater confidence engaging entire teams and organizations in development initiatives.

You will walk away from the two day workshop with practical tools and skills you can use at work the very next day, as well as a powerful perspective that will help you lead more strategically in ways that maximise employee engagement, productivity and creativity. And we support you in applying the learning for months after the course.

Before the course

Pre-course preparation Individual teleconference in advance of the course to identify particular areas of focus to suit your leadership and coaching needs and those of your organisation. (Requires enrolment at least three weeks before course)

Cost R9,300 + VAT including two practical application support calls over two months after the course. Free individual pre-course call with one of the course leaders and 20% discount if you book and pay in full before 25 April 2019: R7440+VAT

Leaders of teams or organisations

Practical leadership and management experience, and a passion for team alignment and development are required. Prior leadership training helps participants make the most of this course.

Coaches, HR and OD professionals

Experience in training, facilitation, consulting or coaching skills (includes HR or OD Professionals, Mediators, Consultants). Coaches: at least 40 hours of coach-specific training through an ICF-accredited coach training program and/or at least a year's experience in practical coaching, or qualified psychologist

After the course: anchoring learning and applying it in the real world

Post-course application support Your course package includes two free group mentoring sessions after the workshop, supporting participants in applying the skills learned on the course and exploring practical business challenges arising.
